Educational Feedback App for Teachers and Students
Edkimo is a specialized feedback application from Germany designed specifically for educational settings, enabling teachers, trainers, and educational institutions to gather anonymous, honest feedback from students in real-time. Developed as a spin-off from the Gamification Lab at Leuphana University, Edkimo has become the leading feedback tool in German-speaking education, serving over 40,000 teachers and 1 million students across Europe. The platform provides ready-to-use questionnaires developed in collaboration with Humboldt University and Leuphana University, focused specifically on improving teaching and learning outcomes rather than evaluating teachers personally.
Teachers can create custom surveys or use pre-built templates covering topics like lesson feedback, distance learning, 360-degree feedback, and school development. Students respond anonymously via computer, tablet, or smartphone using the free Edkimo app, with results delivered in real-time through clear visualizations, overview texts, and detailed statistics. The platform emphasizes feedback as a dialogue tool for co-creating better learning experiences, encouraging teachers to share results with students and use insights collaboratively. Edkimo is built with privacy by design, hosted on German servers, collecting no personal student data, and giving teachers complete control over their class data. The service is GDPR-compliant and particularly valuable for vocational training, university courses, and corporate training environments. With plans for companies, NGOs, and educational institutions, Edkimo extends beyond traditional classroom settings to any learning context requiring structured, actionable feedback.
