Privacy Policy

The protection of your data is important to us!

Thank you for your interest in us!

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. When you visit our site, whether you just want to inform yourself or decide to purchase our products, our commitment is to handle your personal data in a transparent, responsible, and confidential manner. We have implemented technical and organizational measures to ensure secure processing.

However, we would like to point out as a precaution that any data transmission over the Internet (e.g., when communicating via email) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data from access by third parties is not possible.

Who is responsible for processing?

The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is:

Data collection on our website

Server Log Files

When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits so-called server log files. These log files are collected by the site provider and automatically stored. These include the following data:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred in each case
  • Website from which the request originates
  • Browser
  • Operating system and its interface
  • Language and version of browser software

This data is not combined with other data sources.

The legal basis for this data collection is Art. 6, Para. 1, lit. f, GDPR. As a website operator, we have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of our website.

The log file information is stored for security reasons (e.g., to investigate abuse or fraudulent activities) for a maximum period of 7 days and then deleted.

Cookies

We use a technically required cookie on our site that is set when you open an account with us. This is a so-called “session cookie” that is automatically deleted as soon as you leave our site.

In general, browsers can be configured so that you

  • are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies on a case-by-case basis,
  • exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and
  • activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser.

If cookies are deactivated in general, the functionality of this website may be limited.

SSL or TLS Encryption

To prevent data that you transmit to us via the website from being read by third parties, our homepage is SSL/TLS encrypted. You can recognize this by the fact that the browser’s address bar changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in the browser line.

Contact Form

If you contact us via the contact form, the information from the inquiry form, including the contact details provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent, of course.

The processing of data entered into the contact form is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6, Para. 1, lit. f, GDPR) or for the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6, Para. 1, lit. b, GDPR).

The data remains with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after completion of processing your inquiry). Mandatory legal provisions – particularly statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Comment Function

When you use the comment function on our website, your IP address, the time of comment creation, and your chosen username are stored. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest (Art. 6, Para. 1, lit. f, GDPR). This storage serves our security, as we can be held liable for unlawful content on our website, even if it was created by users.

The data is deleted as soon as we have read the comments. This usually occurs within a few hours.

Plugins and Tools

We use our web analytics service trackboxx on our site. We use it to statistically evaluate visitor access and analyze the use of our website. The data is stored anonymously for the stated purpose on a server in Germany and is subject to GDPR requirements.

We do not use any cookies or store personal data. Rather, your IP address is used to generate a code that is then assigned to an anonymous user ID as long as you are on our website. This data cannot be attributed to a specific person and is encrypted with a daily changing code. It is therefore also not possible to “recognize” you when you visit our website again.

Cross-site tracking, linking the data with other sources, or sharing information with third parties does not take place.

The legal basis for processing is Art. 6, Para. 1, lit. f, GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the needs-based design and optimization of our website.

Why we need your data and what we do with it

If you contact us by email, telephone, mail, or fax, your inquiry including all resulting personal data (name, telephone number, email address, etc.) will be stored and processed for the purpose of handling your request.

The transmitted data will be deleted or its processing restricted (Art. 17 and 18, GDPR) after completion of processing your inquiry, unless deletion is prevented by legal retention obligations (e.g., in case of subsequent contract conclusion).

We regularly review the necessity of data deletion.

Contract Processing

The data you provide to use our goods and services (name, telephone number, email address, etc.) is subject to statutory retention periods and will be deleted after their expiration.

Purposes of Processing

  • Processing inquiries
  • Provision of contractual services and support
  • Product/system support
  • Information about products and services

Legal Bases

The processing of your data is based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and national regulations of the Federal Data Protection Act. The following legal bases of the GDPR are relevant for us:

  • 6, Para. 1, lit. b

For the performance of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures.

  • 6, Para. 1, lit. c

To fulfill a legal obligation.

  • 6, Para. 1, lit. f

To protect our legitimate interests. We have a legitimate interest in offering our goods and services and providing the best possible service.

For other possible processing where there is no legal basis yet (for example, an existing contractual relationship), we generally obtain your consent in accordance with Art. 6, Para. 1, lit. a, GDPR.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right to receive free information about the origin, recipients, and purpose of your stored personal data.

You can also request the correction, blocking, or deletion of your data at any time, as well as – under certain circumstances – the restriction of processing. This is the case, for example, if you dispute the accuracy of your stored data. To verify this, we usually need time. For the duration of the review, you have the right to request the restriction of processing your personal data.

Upon request, we will provide you or a third party with data that we process automatically based on your consent or in fulfillment of a contract in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of data to another controller, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible (right to data portability).

Revocation of Consent to Data Processing

If a data processing operation is based on your consent, you can revoke consent already granted at any time. An informal notification by email to us is sufficient. The lawfulness of data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to Object to Data Collection in Special Cases and to Direct Marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

If data processing is based on Art. 6, Para. 1, lit. f, GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your particular situation. This also applies to profiling based on these provisions. Special situations include circumstances such as illness, other strokes of fate, particularly high confidentiality and/or protection interests of persons with high protection classification.

If you object, we will no longer process your personal data. Unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

In particular, an objection to data processing for direct marketing purposes is permissible. If you object, your personal data will no longer be used for direct marketing purposes.

Existence of Automated Decision-Making

As a responsible company, we refrain from automated decision-making or profiling.

Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies. A list of data protection officers and their contact details can be found here.
