Browser video meetings with permanent room links
Whereby Meetings provides browser-based video calls for individuals and teams. You can invite guests through a room link, share your screen and use collaboration tools without building your own video integration. Whereby Embedded is a separate API and SDK product for adding video calls to a website or application.
Meetings features and plan limits
Meetings includes screen sharing, background effects and noise reduction. Depending on the plan, it adds breakout groups, custom branding, local recording and shared rooms. The Free plan has one host, one room URL and meetings for up to four participants lasting up to 30 minutes. Pro lists three room URLs, up to 100 participants and no meeting time limit. Business supports up to 200 participants and starts with three host licences.
Pricing and choosing the right product
Whereby offers a free Meetings plan and paid Pro and Business plans. Pricing depends on the billing period and number of hosts; the published prices are in US dollars excluding VAT. Embedded uses separate usage-based pricing, so a Meetings subscription should not be treated as API access. Check the current plan comparison for the features and limits you need.
Before using it for sensitive conversations
Room configuration, guest access and recording choices matter when you use video meetings for customer or internal information. Review the provider’s current privacy documentation and contractual terms for your use case instead of assuming that a European product origin alone guarantees legal compliance.
